Your Privacy and What We're Doing to Protect It

"We've updated our privacy policy."

No doubt, your inbox has seen its fair share of emails that feature that subject line. But why now?

It stems from a new European law that is set to go into effect on May 25, 2018. There are tons of blogs and thinkpieces on it that already exist, so we won't inundate you with another. What we do want to talk about, though, is how Rebel is working to protect your data and privacy.

Rebel Privacy Policy Updates

We updated our Privacy Policy on May 15, 2018 to address new regulations, make it more transparent, and ensure it is easier to understand.

Want to know what we've changed and how it affects you? You can read the entire policy right here, but we've also got the Coles Notes (or CliffsNotes, depending on where in the world you live) below:

Better navigation and user-friendly language.

Privacy policies are generally full of legalese. We wanted to make ours much easier to understand, so we've rewritten it to use clear, plain language and examples that illustrate our activities. We've also completely reformatted the page with active links, so you can quickly find the information that matters most to you.

More transparency on how we use your info.

We dive in at greater depths to outline exactly how your personal information is being used in order to provide you with the Rebel services that you use to run your websites.

More control over your information.

We make it simple for you to control the information you provide to us. Our updated policy explains how you can make choices about your information, and the measures we have in place to keep your information secure.

Read our updated Privacy Policy in full and let us know if you have any questions. Our team is always here to help - 24/7/365.
