Jeremy Francis, Chief Operating Officer of the industry-leading web host and domain name registrar, Rebel.com, has been named as one of Ottawa’s top business leaders by the Ottawa Business Journal, making their Forty Under 40 list for 2020.
A joint initiative of the Ottawa Board of Trade and the Ottawa Business Journal, the Forty Under 40 awards recognize rising business leaders under the age of 40 in the National Capital Region. Over 200 applicants were considered for the prestigious award, who were assessed and ranked based on business accomplishments, professional experience, and community involvement.
“It is an honour to have been nominated for this award by my colleagues at Rebel, and to have been selected as a recipient by such a distinguished group of judges,” says Francis. “The calibre of recipients proves how innovative Ottawa businesses continue to be, despite the challenges we have faced this year.”
In addition to his work with Rebel.com, Francis serves on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Rideau BIA. He is also an avid hockey player who has from time to time been known to take his beer league games a little too seriously.
The 2020 judging panel was chaired by OBJ publisher Michael Curran and included Greg Richards from the Telfer School of Management Executive MBA, Robert Rhéaume from BDO Canada and two alumni, Jennifer MacKinnon of Fenix Solutions and Joelle Hall from Richardson GMP.
